Wildflower is an ecosystem of decentralized Montessori micro-schools that support children, teachers, and parents. SEE SCHEDULE OWILDFLOWER NEW YORK CHARTER SCHOOL (WNYCS) IS A COMMUNITY BASED PUBLIC SCHOOL THAT SERVES PRE-K - GRADE 5 STUDENTS AND FAMILIES OF CULTURALLY AND LINGUISTICALLY DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS IN THE SOUTH BRONX OF NEW YORK CITY. THE SCHOOL CONSISTS OF A CLUSTER OF SMALLER NEIGHBORHOOD-NESTED SCHOOLS, EACH LED BY ONE TO TWO 'TEACHER LEADERS' WHO SERVE AS BOTH TEACHER AND ADMINISTRATOR. WHILE TEACHER LEADERS OVERSEE ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE SCHOOLS, THEY COLLABORATE ACROSS SCHOOLS IN A NON-HIERARCHICAL CO-LEADERSHIP MODEL.
