Silver Whiskers Feline Rescue is an IRS 501(c)(3) charity. Our goal is to save and provide loving homes for senior and hospice cats in Nevada. Special needs cats are also a focus, with care being provided in Sanctuary, as well as in medical/special needs foster homes. So many cats that are no longer young or perfect end up abandoned or relinquished to shelters. Those cats have many years left of quality love and life to give to someone who recognizes that. Since a large number of the pets that occupy our shelters are seniors or special needs, finding compassionate homes or fosters for them also helps the shelters make more room for others.
