The United Soup Kitchens was incorporated in the month of June 2003.The purpose of the organization is to provide daily hot meals for indigent Jewish senior citizens in low-income communities that are unable to provide for the basic nutritional needs of such men and women.At present the United Soup Kitchens operates seventeen stand alone kitchen/dining facilities, and serves approximately 2800 hot meals each day.Many of the men and women who benefit from the United Soup Kitchen’s meal program are elderly Holocaust survivors.Funding for the United Soup Kitchens operations come primarily from donors across the United States as well as larger contributions from private and public foundations.It is our hope and goal to have enough Soup Kitchens to make sure that all no needy person shall go hungry.
