Strengthening Medicine Safety in Cameroon: Working Together for Better Health Keeping medicines safe and effective is essential—especially with the rollout of new treatments for HIV, TB, and malaria. Cameroon is making big strides to protect patients and strengthen its health system. With support from the The Global Fund and technical guidance from Management Sciences for Health, Ministère de la Santé Publique du Cameroun is rolling out a national pharmacovigilance system. This important initiative will: ✅ Train health workers and technical staff ✅ Update national guidelines and procedures ✅ Improve coordination among health stakeholders Building on a successful 2023 pilot, this effort will boost Cameroon’s ability to track the safety and quality of medicines—ensuring that patients get the care they need and deserve.
