In 2025 PRO ARTS CELEBRATES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY. Since its inception in 1974 Pro Arts has been an integral part of Oaklands cultural landscape serving as a beacon of creativity innovation and inclusivity. The organizations journey began with the establishment of the Alameda County Neighborhood Arts Program born from a collective vision to foster artistic expression and community engagement. Fueled by federal funding through the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act CETA program the Alameda County Neighborhood Arts Program quickly emerged as a hub for artistic activity.
