Commission on Missing & Exploited Children

Established in 1984, The Commission on Missing & Exploited Children is a nonprofit organization committed to the safety and protection of all children. After a series of highly publicized child abductions, COMEC was formed to address the vital issues relating to missing and exploited children. Recognizing that not all missing children have been abducted or runaway, we provide help for families and caregivers in finding children who are lost due to illicit drug use, truancy, violence and child abuse. By re-connecting children to the value of their faith, family and education we have located hundreds of children. We provide free education, prevention, location and intervention services to all who seek assistance in keeping children out of harm's way.

Commission on Missing Exploited Children Happy New Year 2025 We made it with another blessed and fortunate year here at COMEC. Here is an update for your review of our efforts in 2024 First off between COVID and the closing of Juvenile Court for4 months with no access to our office we are pleased to report that we have made it through the storm and have been able to continue to offer services and continued contact with the public without interruption. There are many nonprofits and businesses who were not so lucky. In our case it was only a little luck.
