Griffin was born June 29 2010 in Scottsdale Arizona. A day after he was born he was diagnosed with an extremely rare and complex airway malformation called a tracheal esophageal cleft. This meant that his airway and esophagus had no division which did not allow Griffin to be able to eat or speak.
