Community Action Agency of Northeast Alabama Founded in 1965 as a private nonprofit by the Federal Government Community Action works to reduce poverty by engaging the community in assessing local needs and empowering individuals to become selfsufficient. Our staff is guided by a dedicated board of directors and we leverage local state private and federal resources to support lowincome families. Community Action of Northeast Alabamas goal is to empower individuals with valuable skills and create opportunities for economic selfsufficiency.
