Mission and Purpose
The mission of the Red Tail Scholarship Foundation is to identify and develop motivated students who embody the values of the original Tuskegee Airmen. The foundation provides financial assistance and mentorship to help these students succeed in various careers within the aviation field, including flying and aircraft maintenance.
History and Legacy
The Red Tail Scholarship Foundation draws inspiration from the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African Americans trained by the military for combat operations during World War II. The foundation aims to carry on this legacy by promoting diversity and inclusion in aviation.

It also offers mentorship to guide students through their career paths, ensuring they maintain proficiency and currency in their skills.
Impact and Achievements
As of recent reports, the foundation has helped numerous students achieve various aviation certifications. The Red Tail Flight Academy, affiliated with the foundation, reports a significant number of hours flown and certifications earned by its scholars. The program includes over 60 students across different phases of instruction, with aspirations ranging from commercial airlines to military service.
Values and Goals
The foundation emphasizes values such as leadership, communication, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities that were central to the success of the Tuskegee Airmen. It aims to increase the representation of minorities, particularly African Americans, in the aviation industry and to provide a long-term career path for its scholars.
