Herring Gut Coastal Science Center Educating students and communities about the connections between the ocean inland waters and economy of Maine. Programs flowing from FRESH to SALT Herring Gut Coastal Science Center was founded based on the belief that all students can learn that students learn best by doing and that place and community should ground shape and inspire curriculum. As Herring Guts impact has expanded across the state they have remained rooted in those founding beliefs and the community of St. George.
