Herring Gut Coastal Science Center Herring Gut Coastal Science Center Educating students and communities about the connections between the ocean inland waters and economy of Maine. Programs flowing from FRESH to SALT Herring Gut Coastal Science Center was founded based on the belief that all students can learn that students learn best by doing and that place and community should ground shape and inspire curriculum. As Herring Guts impact has expanded across the state they have remained rooted in those founding beliefs and the community of St. George.

Herring Gut Coastal Science Center
The Rockland Kiwanis Club, a supporter of Herring Gut, is hosting a 2-hour sail on Saturday, June 28th at 10am on A Morning in Maine. Enjoy great sailing, wildlife viewing, lighthouse close-ups and learn fun info about coastal Maine ecology and history. Space is limited to 21 passengers, so please reserve early.
