THE CORPORATION WAS ORGANIZED IN MELROSE, MASSACHUSETTS TO PROMOTE FOOD ACCESS, FOOD JUSTICE, AND CLIMATE ACTION. WE PARTNER WITH COMMERCIAL AND COMMUNITY SOURCES TO RESCUE WHOLESOME FOOD THAT WOULD OTHERWISE GO TO WASTE AND DELIVER IT DIRECTLY TO LOCAL PANTRIES, PROGRAMS, AND PEOPLE WITHIN AN APPROXIMATE TEN-MILE RADIUS. A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF OUR RESCUED FOOD IS FRESH PRODUCE, HELPING TO BRIDGE THE SHORTAGE OF HEALTHY FOOD AVAILABLE TO PEOPLE IN POVERTY

The Food Drive The Food Drive We drive food security in our community. The Food Drive is a communitydriven food rescue and hunger relief nonprofit organization based in Melrose Massachusetts serving neighborhoods north of Boston. We work alongside an extensive volunteer network to distribute rescued surplus and donated food at no cost to thousands of peopleliterally driving food from the point of donation to the point of needall within a ten mile radius.
