Ellen Meloy Fund for Desert Writers
This fund will grant an annual stipend to a writer to go out into the desert to write, to give voice to that "deep map of place" that guided and inspired Ellen's work. The goal of the Fund is to enrich writers with the enduring powers of the desert and provide readers with knowledge and passion for desert places.

A grant of 5000 will support work on her book proposal provisionally titled Quitting Season.
