Handson Learning Science on a River SOAR 501c3 and the Education Center is an innovative science technology and urban ecology educational destination operating as an extension to Visit Sheboygans new Visitor Center. Located on riverfront property just blocks away from Lake Michigan the STEAM Education Center will provide clean energy ecotourism urban ecology and waterrelated recreation exhibits interactivities and learning opportunities through selfdirected and guided tours team building and professional development workshops K12 field trips summer camps and ROV explorations of shipwrecks and habitats. The opportunities and advantages that the STEAM Education Center will provide to Sheboygan and the surrounding areas include economic development education environmental stewardship and recreation. Science in the Sky Offthegrid educational viewing platform partially cantilevered over the Sheboygan River Gardens A new public access space featuring green infrastructure and sustainable gardens.
