Whiskers, Inc. is a non-profit , no-kill, volunteer animal rescue serving Allegany County Maryland and the surrounding areas in Maryland and West Virginia. We rescue animals who are abandoned, homeless, sick, injured and/or neglected. Animals in our care are spayed/neutered, socialized and receive all needed veterinary care while awaiting adoption. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-serve basis. We place animals in loving, responsible, committed, permanent homes. We take considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a pet into their homes and lives. Any animal that does not find a home or is not suitable for adoption will remain at the rescue, safe and loved, for the rest of their life.
