With sic transit gloria mundi, Nick Tauro Jr exhibits a deep, emotional exploration of his relationship with his father. Coming to terms with his decline into dementia and old age, while reflecting on his own mortality. Using images from their family archive, printed on pages from his father’s 1957 Latin lesson book, then covered in encaustic wax, Tauro explores heavy subject matter with experimental technique.⁠ ⁠ This is your last week to see New Tableau: Experiments in Photography at 516 ARTS.
