Sisters of Social Service of Los Angeles
Enlivened by the Holy Spirit, we advocate Peace and Justice for the Common Good in light of the Social Mission of the Church. The Sisters of Social Service are women of many cultures. Wanting to fulfill the social mission of the Church, SSS count on the presence of the Spirit of God in engaging with all human beings – ranging from political and legislative systems to caring for the health and well-being of families, on every level of society to bring justice into the lives of all. Following the teachings of Jesus in the Gospel, the SSS engage with and on behalf of those who are alienated, struggling, or living in poverty. The rights of all peoples to live in dignity, free from violence, racism, sexism and coercion of every kind is at the heart of our work and of our justice commitment.
