Funding Progress Fostering Community Supporting a Cure for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2IR9 OUR CAUSE Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Type 2IR9 LGMD2IR9 is a progressively debilitating disease that causes profound muscle wasting and weakness mainly in the shoulder and hip areas. This is an ultra rare form of Muscular Dystrophy that can result in cardiovascular respiratory and overall mobility challenges. To date the CureLGMD2i Foundation has provided over 1120000 to research advocacy and awareness programs focused on LGMD2IR9. MISSION Providing Advocacy Spreading Awareness Supporting Scientific Research and Drug Development to Find a Cure for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2IR9 VISION Our vision is to pioneer a future where every individual affected by Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Type 2IR9 can be treated early and live a life unencumbered by its challenges.
