Mission and Vision
The mission of AAWS is to ensure that anyone with a disability can access and enjoy water activities, fostering a sense of freedom and adventure[1][3]. As a faith-based organization, AAWS serves in the healing ministry of Christ, emphasizing the role of community and spiritual support in its mission[1][4].
Activities and Programs
AAWS offers a range of water activities suitable for individuals aged 3 and above, including fishing, boating, kayaking, tubing, and waterskiing[2]. The organization is led by Jo Crawford, its founder and director. Crawford brings extensive experience in managing adaptive water sports programs in Arizona, having previously managed the "Day on the Lake" program at Barrow Neurological Institute[1]. The board includes members who are passionate about providing inclusive sports opportunities, such as Gary Robbins and Ryan Johnson, who support various adaptive sports initiatives[1].

Partnerships and Support
AAWS collaborates with multiple sponsors and partners, including Bartlett Lake Marina, Century Marine, and Ability 360 Sports & Fitness Center, among others, to support its activities and mission[1]. It is also a chapter of Move United, a broader network advocating for adaptive sports[1][3].
