North Tamiami Trail North Trail Redevelopment Partnership The North Trail Redevelopment Partnership is a broadbased collaborative community initiative that fosters sustainable predictable economic redevelopment along North Tamiami Trail to achieve a revitalized attractive safe and inviting environment for business institutions and neighborhoods. The North Trail Redevelopment Partnership was formed in January 2009 by then Mayor Richard Clapp as a task force comprised of local citizens to study understand and work to facilitate positive redevelopment of the North Trail. The membership of this nonprofit organization includes representatives of Ringling College USF New College Ringling Museum and the Sarasota Police Department along with Indian BeachSapphire Shores Bayou Oaks and Central Cocoanut neighborhoods and local architects planners business owners real estate brokers and City of Sarasota planning staff. Membership is open to any anyone willing to actively participate.
