Our purpose is to create a safer, more equitable society by helping to repair the broken path to justice through support and education. The mission of LAEC is to prevent and divert felonies allowing those who stand accused to take a productive and alternative path with their lives. We do this by: being navigators of the legal system, partnering with their public or alternate defender and District Attorney to negotiate on their behalf and offering an educational tool to teach the ins and outs of the criminal justice system. Providing education, mitigation & advocacy for first-time offenders & victims of police misconduct.
