COALITION FOR EPIDEMIC PREPAREDNESS INNOVATIONS US ("CEPI US") WAS ORGANIZED FOR SEVERAL PURPOSES:(1) TO EDUCATE THE AMERICAN PUBLIC ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVELOPING VACCINES TO COMBAT FUTURE GLOBAL EPIDEMICS (SEE SCHEDULE O)AND CEPI'S GOALS OF COORDINATING THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUCH VACCINES;(2) TO COORDINATE THE EFFORTS OF CEPI'S PARTNERS THAT ARE LOCATED IN THE US, INCLUDING PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS, INDUSTRY, TRADE ASSOCIATIONS, ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS, AND OTHER NOT-FOR-PROFITS; AND,(3) TO ADVOCATE FOR SUPPORT, INCLUDING POTENTIAL FUNDING FOR CEPI US BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
