We decrease the effect of PARENTAL STRESS on child adjustment increase healthy CHILD ENGAGEMENT in the family and stimulate OPTIMAL PATTERNS of family functioning. We also advocate PARENTAL LEADERSHIP as a basis for fostering future leaders DECREASING THE LOAD on society of poor child adjustment.
