Friends Of Malawi (FOM) FRIENDS OF MALAWI was founded in 1987 by former Malawi PCVs out of affection for their Malawian friends, the country, and their volunteer compatriots -- and a strong desire to lengthen and strengthen these ties. Now with over 900 members, the "FOM Family" joins together hundreds of Malawi RPCVs, parents/relatives of current volunteers, former British VSOs, Canadian CUSOs, UN Volunteers, USAID or US Embassy staff, Malawians resident in the USA, and other good friends of Malawi.
