World Autism Awareness Day འཛམ་གླིང་རང་གཡེངས་ཅན་ཀྱི་གོ་རྟོགས་ཉིན་མོ། Today April 2nd is observed as World Autism Awareness Day. We reaffirm our commitment to inclusive education for Tibetan children with special needs. In partnership with the Central Tibetan Administration and with support from PRM through The Tibet Fund, we train teachers and parents in inclusive education strategies through specialized workshops, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to support children with diverse learning needs. We also publish children's books that celebrate diversity, improve school infrastructure with wheelchair ramps, handrails, and accessible toilets, and provide mobility aids and learning resources for children with disabilities. Regular assessments are conducted to identify children with special needs, and follow-up support is provided by experts. Our initiatives also focus on supporting students with learning disabilities such as ADHD, dyslexia, and autism through specialized teaching strategies, assistive technology, and sensory classrooms. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive, and by facilitating equal learning opportunities, we empower children with diverse abilities to reach their full potential. Did you know?
