The mission of Raise is to create opportunities for job training, employment, and full participation in community life for youth and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities We believe that young adults with developmental disabilities should not have to go outside of their hometowns for day programs or supported employment. Options should exist in the communities they know, among people they know and who also know and love them. Currently there are few if any supported employment opportunities for high school graduates with disabilities in Hanover County. In fact, 80% of them spend their days at home after graduation. We are committed to raising possibilities for meaningful futures, and raising our whole community in the process.
