Long Term Care Ombudsman program of Ventura County was founded in 1981 under the auspices of the Older Americans Act, which requires advocacy for the institutionalized elderly. No other program exists solely for this purpose. All services are free and confidential. Any and all complaints/abuses made by or on behalf of these frail elderly residents are received, investigated and resolved by Ombudsmen or Licensing Agencies
