Los Angeles United Methodist Urban Foundation

All in to build a movement for ed and econ equity in urban LA via @KidCityHopePl -- and now, green space too at Kid City's Breezeway The Los Angeles United Methodist Urban Foundation is committed to "Initiating and Supporting Signs of Hope for the City" by empowering people, achieving social justice and economic development and promoting the well being of communities. Kid City Hope Place is the Foundation's flagship program. It is a strictly secular, non-religious program that helps low-income and youth of color to develop personally, academically, and professionally within a nurturing community. At Kid City teens and young adults find their voice, share their stories, and discover their ability to advocate for themselves and their communities. Programs in college access and persistence, career readiness, and music address educational inequity and severe economic hardship among the communities we serve.

New phone number. Please call the Urban Foundation at 2135365365 Kid City was founded on the idea that higher education is the surest pathway to economic stability but that pathway is filled with financial and institutional obstacles. Kid City cultivates student leadership and self advocacy so that participants move past barriers to claim their education. Along the way they become engaged effective leaders committed to clearing the path to high education for others.
