VIA hosted vibrant community gatherings in Tokyo and Osaka this past weekend, bringing together alumni from across three decades of programs—including the Global Community Fellowship, Language & Culture, Health Care, and Social Innovation. Day 3 of the Nichibei Girls Collaborative was a full-circle journey into community impact, told through four meaningful chapters: - Learning at MIIS We began the morning at MIIS with Doaa, a graduate student who shared her powerful story of leadership, identity, and finding purpose through education. - Exploration at the Aquarium At the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the girls explored ocean life and environmental sustainability through a lens of curiosity and care. - Understanding Community Roots in Salinas We visited Ichigo Farms to learn about food systems, then joined Estrella at MILPA for an honest, healing session on justice, community change, and youth voice. - Group Dinner The day ended at Bag O’Crab, where food and shared stories brought everyone closer together! #NichibeiGirlsCollaborative #NGC2025 #CommunityImpact #GirlsInLeadership #EnvironmentalEducation #MILPA #viaPrograms #CrossCulturalExchange (fb)
