Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra Music Director Job Summary The Music Director is a parttime position responsible for the musical leadership artistic operation and development of the Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra FMSO and exercises authority in artistic matters according to the guidelines established by the Board of Directors. He or she should have an advanced degree in music or conducting as well as prior conducting experience. The Music Director must work closely within the limits set by the orchestras budget. FMSO is a volunteer musician community orchestra performing works primarily from the standard symphonic repertoire as appropriate to its size and ability.
