The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville promotes the discovery, knowledge, and advancement of the art, artists, and ideas of our time. A cultural institute of the University of North Florida, MOCA serves the community and visitors through exhibitions, collections, educational programs, and publications designed to enhance an understanding and appreciation of modern and contemporary art with particular emphasis on works created from 1960 to the present. MOCA celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2024, as the oldest art museum in the region and the second contemporary art museum to be established in the United States. Located in the heart of historic Downtown, MOCA is one of Jacksonville's most significant cultural assets and a cornerstone of the downtown revitalization plan.
