Salt Lake Arts Academy is a public charter school, serving grades 5-8, offering an arts-integrated education in the rich environment of downtown Salt Lake City. The mission of the Salt Lake Arts Academy is to prepare students to become confident and creative builders of their future, equipped through the arts and academics to take responsibility for shaping their communities. We believe that integration of the arts within traditional academic subjects enhances success for children of all abilities regardless of their individual developmental stages. We believe achievement goes beyond traditional test performance, and is apparent through the creative process and products. We believe that frequent experience outside of the classroom and within the community fosters creative, confident, and responsible people. We believe multi-aged cooperative learning is representative of the world in which we live.
