We provide a safe loving environment for animals that were in a bad situation or out of their natural habitat. The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, and for the prevention of cruelty to animals, and including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code). The purpose of the organization is to rescue animals which have been abandoned, lost or abused, or might otherwise be neglected or euthanized. It is the policy of the corporation to provide humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection, to seek and to return lost animals to their owner, and to seek suitable homes for animals without owners. In its care and disposition of animals, E.A.R.S. Inc. shall provide veterinary care as needed, and shall spay or neuter each animal before placement. Everglades Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. shall maintain and preferably exceed the minimum standards prescribed by The Humane Society of the United States as well as the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
