We need your support. On Friday, April 25th, service-driven organizations like VYCC were impacted by the sudden cancellation of 1,000 federal AmeriCorps grants—eliminating $400 million in funding nationwide. VYCC has run programs in partnership with AmeriCorps since 1993, and the abrupt termination of our $517,000 grant directly impacts revenues that fund approximately 80 positions. These positions are held by young people eager to roll up their sleeves and work hard in service to Vermont. As we navigate this sudden loss of funding, we’re asking our community to step up in support of these young people and their commitment to service. In the face of challenge, VYCC remains dedicated to taking action and serving others.
