#choosetoserve We Serve First was formed in 2015 to support high school volleyball players in financial distress. Club volleyball and volleyball camps can be expensive, but they are also important tools for young athletes wishing to reach their full potential as players and people. Ultimately, through club participation, these athletes are exposed to college coaches and have a better chance at scholarship opportunities and a college education. We Serve First is the brainchild of Ellen Toy, longtime high school and club volleyball coach here in Western Pennsylvania. In 2015, realizing that her six year battle with gastric cancer was coming to a close, she determined her own legacy with the establishment of this foundation.
