Our voices were heard! Let’s celebrate today’s win. Thanks to grassroots pressure, the Public Lands Sell-Off Amendment of the House Fiscal Year 2025 Federal Reconciliation Package was defeated! This amendment would have permitted the sale of thousands of acres of national public lands in Nevada and Utah. We’re also celebrating the removal of other public lands attacks from the House budget reconciliation bill including attempts to advance the Ambler mining road in Alaska, oil and gas drilling provisions in the Western Arctic, and conservation, land-use plan rollbacks across Western states. There is still work to be done, including further advocacy to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (Alaska) and Boundary Waters (Minnesota), but let’s acknowledge today’s win. #KeepItPublic #HandsOffPublicLands (fb)
