SDSA traces its roots back to the Breitbard Athletic Foundation which was founded in 1946 by the legendary Bob Breitbard and is dedicated to creating strategic and meaningful opportunities through sports and philanthropy to make a positive impact in San Diego. We believe Sports bring positive benefits and unifying power that aid in the development of youth community and business Sports positively develops social communication teamwork and leadership skills in youth Excellence in sports is motivating inspiring and unifying Wherever possible we should help young athletes in need participate in sports and athletics These milestones should be celebrated by bringing San Diegans together to honor celebrate and support local athletic achievement.
