Happy National Accounting Day! Today, we celebrate this fantastic group of employees and all they do for us at Mid-Rivers! Craig Dyk, our Chief Financial Officer, praised his employees this year after completing our annual audit report. Craig wrote, "In light of the Annual Meeting coming up, I think it would be fitting to highlight the accomplishments of the accounting department for another stellar year and an absolutely perfect audit. The audit report is a statement of TRUST between the members of the cooperative and the Board of Trustees and employees, and the accounting department takes that task very seriously. Completing that task takes EVERYONE, but our accounting department is the BEST, and their work each year to ensure a clean audit is exemplary. It starts with clean records throughout the year and doing the work to respond to over 90 audit requests, and the follow-up questions and responses to the auditors. Also, it requires an understanding of accounting principles, financial statement presentation, and the ability to review and write all of the required notes to the financials."
