Joppees Wildlife is home to various mammals various species of birds fish amphibians andmacroinvertebrates as last reported by The Corp of Engineers. Because of such a vast ecosystem Joppee Wildlife Institute 501c3 has began to study and implement ways of Enhancement and Recreation as well as how to achieve some Sustainable Development Goals such as Clean Water Sanitation and a Sustainable Community along with Creation of Jobs. JWI is committed to the vision of past and present leaders of the Joppee Community in seeing the resilient 150 year old Freedmans town become self reliant by taking advantage of the ecosystem in Joppee that has been naturally preserved for such a time as this.
