Since 1976, Stepping Stone's mission has been providing LGBTQ+ specialized addiction recovery, mental health and housing programs for our community. We are one of the only nonprofits in the nation specializing in queer recovery. Established in 1976, we have been at the forefront of supporting individuals on their journey of recovery, mental wellness, and self-acceptance, ensuring they receive the compassionate and affirming care they deserve. Our mission statement: To create, improve and deliver alcohol and other drug treatment, HIV and other health interventions, recovery, education and prevention services specializing in the challenges of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities of the San Diego region.
