Grupo De Apoyo Para Latinos Con Autismo
GALA emerged from the need to educate and assist Spanish speaking families of children with autism in our community. Latino families are known to be underserved for healthcare in the US. Many of our families also are low-income and do not speak fluent English. Additionally, obtaining appropriate services and treatment for autism is challenging and expensive for any family, regardless of ethinicity or income level. Our organization brings together all of these factors to help these children and their families get the help they need in a cultural context that is comfortable.
