The Josephine Dotson Center for Change will provide a stable, caring, and safe environment for families, while they work to break the cycle of homelessness. By utilizing a whole person approach we will strive to build accountability, resilience, and motivation in families that show a willingness to work for a better tomorrow. Resources for homeless families in a rural setting are often scarce, requiring families to travel hours to a metropolitan area for assistance. We will support families that become homeless due to an unfortunate circumstance, such as fire, flood, death of a spouse, loss of job, sickness, eviction or foreclosure. The basic family unit is one parent and at least one school aged child.
