Violeta Update! 🐒💜 Since her rescue earlier this month, Violeta has made incredible progress under the care of our veterinary team. Her corneal ulcers have fully healed, and she’s now active, curious, and engaging with her environment, especially during social enrichment sessions like this one. She’s transitioned to a healthy, species-appropriate diet, so later this week she’ll graduate to an even bigger enclosure where she can enjoy fresh air and more space to move, which is essential for her physical and mental wellbeing. Spider monkeys are highly social animals, and living alone is far from ideal. Once her infectious disease testing is complete, the search for a forever home with a troop of her own will begin. (fb)
