Conscious Contact is an organization dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS by raising awareness to combat this pandemic. As a community organization, Conscious Contact of New York seeks to provide ancillary social services in collaboration with traditional and non-traditional Social Service organizations for Disease Prevention with regard to HIV and AIDS. Purpose Our purposes are as stated in the Certificate of Incorporation, and more particularly as follows: To provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS Public Information, Community HIV Prevention Initiatives, HIV Counseling and Testing Referrals To participate in collaborative HIV/AIDS Education with local, state, national and international partners To promote health awareness, leadership training and related community outreach To sponsor community health seminars and other health related programs To publish and distribute books, pamphlets and other literature to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention To provide intergenerational activities that promote hope via prevention activities in a safe, secure and confidential atmospheres.
