Volcano Art Center – Where People, Art & Nature Meet
The Volcano Art Center was founded in 1974 to promote an appreciation of Hawaii's arts and Kilauea Volcano's unique environment while providing an inspirational resource for the creativity of artists, writers and musicians. It serves as a place where science, nature and art all touch within an awesome setting. Because it is based in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which is the most active volcanic region in the U.S. as well as one of the most sacred areas for the Hawaiian culture, VAC is able to draw upon unique resources to produce inspiring programs for visitors and the public.
