WILLOW WATERHOLE GREENSPACE CONSERVANCY INC

Willow Waterhole

In 2001, as the design of the detention basins began, the Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy (WWGC) was founded as a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a major park at the complex. Its mission is to assist and nurture the partnership of neighborhood residents, environmental organizations, Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD), Harris County Precinct 1, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD), and the Houston Parks Board (HPB) in development of the Willow Waterhole Greenway. The partners have determined the development will include native prairies, forests, trails and amenities for walking, running, biking, bird watching, fishing, and canoeing/kayaking.
