Massachusetts Youth Committed to Winning, Inc.'s (MYCW) mission is to inspire, educate, and prepare inner-city youth with the necessary skills to become academic achievers, confident student athletes, active citizens, and effective leaders. MYCW is a year-round out-of school time program for low-income, at-risk, African-American boys and young men (grades 3-12) living in Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury. MYCW connects participants' love of sports with their need for multiple supports: MYCW youth come for the basketball but stay for the connections they make with caring adults who provide much needed tutoring, life skills workshops, community services opportunities, and mentoring.
