Desert Voices prepares children who are deaf or hard of hearing for a lifetime of learning through the use of spoken language. Founded by parents in 1996, Desert Voices' mission is to teach children who are deaf and hard of hearing the necessary spoken language skills to talk and to understand when others talk to them through language and academic instruction in a unique setting that encompasses a low student/teacher ratio, an award-winning curriculum, individualized instruction and hearing technology. Our ultimate goal is to return the children to a traditional school setting with age appropriate language, academic and social skills.
