Whole Mind Symphony Inc
Our mission is to provide an innovative pilot-home for young adults (21-35) with serious mental illness living in the schizophrenia spectrum, with 24/7 staff trained in LEAP communication and in-house recovery program with nutritional psychiatry, music, life-coaching, therapy, vocational training, family/community integration and reduction of stigma through music events - such as Whole Minds in Concert - the first concert featuring SMI musicians. The progress of our residents will be monitored through a university partnership to produce a scientific study to encourage replication and modernization in the mental health system. We teach the WMS program to families, county mental health facilities and board&cares so that the cycle of hospitalization, incarceration and homelessness ends.
