The Greater Rochester Housing Partnership was created in 1992 as a community response to the need for affordable housing and the need to create community support for housing outside of government. In meeting its mission to increase the supply of affordable housing, the Partnership works in collaboration with non-profit and for-profit developers, community organizations and all levels of government. The Partnership focuses its activity in the City of Rochester but works throughout the region to promote housing choice. The Partnership provides direct loans to developers. It provides financial packaging and acts as a financial intermediary; locating and securing grants and loans for specific programs and projects. In addition, the Partnership manages housing programs in collaboration with its community partners.
