MU State is one of twentyone state chapters of the National Kappa Kappa Iota educators organization. The purpose of this organization is to promote the advancement of education by providing an effective network for the exchange of education and teaching practices by educators. Kappa Kappa Iota has the distinction of being the oldest organization for educators in the United States with emphasis on philanthropy professional development networking and scholarships.
